If you include the name, genre, link and description, pasting it into the template is NOT necessary. The template is a guide for the information we are looking for when you post your ad.
When using this forum to advertise, we ask a few simple things to keep your ads readable, to the point and accessible. Just give these things a glance and you will be all set. Accepted ads will be moved to locked genre subforums for storage and more organized access.
1. Only other role plays may be advertised here. This means no porn or other inappropriate propaganda, or anyone's 'myspace' or band. If other ads are found, they will be deleted.
2. As always, keep the language appropriate. This goes for everywhere on the site. This is a place to advertise role playing sites - please keep it that way.
3. If you advertise your site here more than once, the older ad will be deleted. Yes, I will be looking at these. It is all right to do this every once in a while, if you need to revamp the activity, but do not think you will have ten ads sitting here.
4. If the link to your site is wrong and doesn't work, or you don't leave one, people will not be able to visit it. Make sure you add a link where indicated, so your ad amounts to something. I have seen this happen before.
5. If anyone spams this part of the forum, and it is done repeatedly, guest posting can and will be removed. This is a courtesy to other sites, not to spammers. If this does happen, I will have to develop a different system, or put the guest abilities here on time-out.
6. If you advertise here, your site must have a place where we can advertise back, as 'guest friendly' as ours is. That way we can both benefit from our advertisements.

Affiliation:
If you wish to affiliate our site and be affiliated here as well, there are some short guidelines to the process. Please follow them; when you do, your banner will be up in no time!
1. If we put your banner up on Abyss, you need to put ours up on your site. If it has been at least a week of us having your banner and you not having ours, yours will be deleted and you will need to repost your inquiry.
2. When you post your normal advertisement for your site, simply add the code for your button at the end, and that will state that you want to be an affiliate. Post your ad here in the Affiliates folder.
3. Your button should be the default 88 x 31 pixel size. A little under and over the mark is acceptable, but anything ridiculously large will not be permitted.
4. As always, anything that is inappropriate will be deleted no matter what. We aren't here to advertise x-rated sites, we are here to advertise role plays.
5. As with normal advertising, no more than one ad will be accepted from your site. You can, however, post a new ad for more attraction, but the old one will be deleted.
