Creating a Character:
Creating a character here can work two ways. A character can be made entirely from scratch – a ‘Local’ character – or be brought over from another website that you role play on – a ‘Visiting Character’. There are separate templates for each one; to make a local character, you need to follow a full and more detailed template to suit the world and what your character is, called the ‘Local Template’. If you are bringing over a character to use that you use on another role play, there is a small add-on called the 'Visiting Template’. Both can be found in a thread
here.
The list of
local races gives you many choices to choose from when making your character. There are a few different races between Abyss and Fable, some being more prominent in one land than the other. Nevertheless, if you have any further ideas concerning available races, PM an admin or mod with your suggestion, and it may be approved.
The
local classes are versatile and follow a similar format to many worlds. It is suggested that your character only has one class; if for some reason you want dual classes, they cannot be an expert in both (this would be making a very godlike character compared to others). If they are well learned in two skills, please back this up in history to have a better chance of acceptance.
World of Abyss:
Here is a brief list of all the provided locations:
Desert Dunes: Vast deserts cover this area, and make traveling a hindrance. Water and food are hard to come by, and this route is best avoided by the inexperienced and unprepared.
Desert Oasis: In the eastern dunes lies an fair sized oasis, seemingly placed there by the gods themselves. It contains palm-like trees, with pools of water no larger than common lakes dispersed around the area.
Haunted Forest: The forest of dark trees and eerie sounds. Not much light penetrates through, and it is rumored that the lands are haunted.
Uncharted Wood: Enter the uncharted forest if you must, but remember that they have never been mapped out entirely. It is easy for any man to get lost here.
Immortal Cliffs: The land of vampires, located high upon the mountainous cliffs of Abyss. While sometimes civil, travelers are advised not to walk idly, or alone, here.
Deserted Shu Town: This town is mostly deserted, with dilapidated buildings and the remnants of residents from long ago. Said to be the first town before Taori, its abandonment is a mystery.
Outer Ocean: The ocean hugs the eastern side of the Wastelands and Dunes, and is used for transportation and trade. Some stories circulate about water creatures and people of the sea. Some travelers never return.
Warlords of Abyss:
Superior Warlord: Hale Storem
The Superior Warlord has command over the lower ranking warlords, and is essentially the commander of the forces as well as ruler of Abyss.
Northern Warlord: N/A
The Northern Warlord has command and responsibility over the Desert Dunes and Desert Oasis.
Eastern Warlord: Hecate
The Eastern Warlord has command and control over the Immortal Cliffs.
Western Warlord: N/A
The Western Warlord has command and responsibility over the Haunted Forest and Uncharted Woods.
Southern Warlord: Daniel Quickstring
The Southern Warlord reigns over Deserted Shu and the outskirts of the region up until the ocean. His reign is particularly insignificant compared to the other warlords, and he often aids the others when needed.

Stadiums:
There is a stadium in each location. Two are in the western territory, one in the eastern territory, and two in the northern territory.
In the Western Territory, there are two stadiums; one is located in the Haunted Forest, and one in the Uncharted Wood.
In the Eastern Territory, there is one stadium in the Immortal Cliffs.
In the Northern Territory, there are two stadiums; one in the Desert Dunes, and one in the Desert Oasis.
Characters can train in these stadiums (usually to get ready for tournaments). Each Stadium has its own training section in which to post. All stadiums have training areas. Tournament dates and locations will be posted in the forum when the time comes. Training can take place at any time, whether a tournament is coming up or not. Any member can start a thread to role play their character training.
Stadium Titles:
The winner of a tournament will gain a special title from the Superior Warlord himself, as well as a prize. Prizes are not yet defined, but they may be special items or weapons for your winning character, and a sum of money as well for their use.
Teams:
Teams may be formed upon the consent of the contestants to have teams go against each other in tournaments. Good groupings would be a strong fighter, a capable healer and a ranged fighter, as an example. Listings will be placed when teams have been requested and/or decided.
